Atiesh, forged from the seed of hate, passed through the hands of the guardians of Tyrusfall, including Eguin until their line ended with Medivh. Its age remains uncertain, yet its powers were unmistakable. At opened portals to Karajan, drew ravens to its bearer, and allowed that wielder to assume a raven's form. Medivh, final guardian, wielded Atiesh as the focus of his power.
Secretly possessed by Sargeras's spirit. He opened the way for the orcish horde into Azeroth. After Medivh's death, the Kyantor carried Atiesh to Dalaron.
Every Kirin mage who touched it died. So the staff was sealed behind impenetrable magical barriers. When Archimon destroyed Dalaran after the third war, Atesh was lost and shattered, [clears throat] probably by its prison's magical failafe.
Its 42 pieces scattered across Azeroth. Restored and later carried by Khadgar, Atesh returned to Delaron's final catastrophe. During Zalatath's attack, it was snapped in half. Whether any fragment survived remains unknown.
