Thunder Fury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, stands as a legendary sword once wielded by Thunderon, [music] the prince of air. A relic whose story moves from elemental defeat to a later return.
During the elemental sundering, Gar and Baroned aided Ragnaros in catching Prince Thunderon unaware before Sulphurus struck him down. The fall set the blades long fractured history in [music] motion. After Thunderon's defeat, Ragnaros placed the prince's remaining essence within an elemental binding [music] talisman.
Shattered into two pieces, it was assigned to Gar and Baron. In the original World of Warcraft era, Mortal Champions brought Demetrien both bindings of the Windseeker, enchanted elementium, and the essence of the Fire Lord, enabling Thunderon's summoning in Silithus.
The summoned prince of air was struck down. Yet, the story did not end there. Among those involved, the dwarven warrior Ry claimed Thunderfury for himself.
When the Earthn Ring sought to resurrect Thunderon after Alakir's fall, a shaman adventurer recovered Thunder Fury from Ray's corpse in Asuna, carrying it to the Vortex Pinnacle.
With the heart of Skywall, Thunderon was revived.
