The World of Warcraft Forever beta is over... and Blizzard just shared the numbers. Some of them are... concerning. 8.8 million characters were created.

Not players. Characters. So, plenty of alts. Nearly 1.9 million of them were Skyborne... and 612,000 were Forsaken Paladins. The Light works in mysterious ways.

Almost 10 million PvP kills. And the zone with the most PvP? Hillsbrad Foothills, of course. Southshore versus Tarren Mill. Some traditions never die.

Over 1.2 million duels were fought... and 1.15 million deaths from falling. Gravity remains undefeated. The deadliest dungeon was the Hall of Thanes, one of Forever's new dungeons, built for levels 13 to 18.

According to community census data, the most played class was the Hunter, at 15.3%, and the most played race was the Undead, at 17.4%.

But the deadliest enemy of the entire beta wasn't a dragon. It wasn't a raid boss. It was this guy. The Kobold Miner.

A low-level kobold with a candle on his head. Blizzard says villagers still speak in hushed tones about the legend of the dreaded Kobold Miner.

Fresh heroes walked into his mine... and came out as ghosts. Just remember: you no take candle! World of Warcraft Forever launches November 4th.
