Garona: Gul’dan’s half-orc assassin and his chronicler.
1:17
Summary
Garona occupied two positions in Gul’dan’s service: assassin and recorder of the old Horde’s wars. During the First War, Khadgar helped her enter Stormwind to warn King Llane about Medivh. Their later confrontation with Medivh also gave Gul’dan a view through Garona’s eyes as he searched for the Tomb of Sargeras.
Chapter I
THE ASSASSIN WHO WROTE
Garona’s assigned work was assassination, but it did not end there.
As Gul’dan’s servant, she was also ordered to record the war in writing. The narration explains that the Horde’s warriors placed little value on reading and writing, while its warlocks neglected the work of preserving history. That left Garona in two roles at once: acting within the old Horde’s wars and setting down an account of them.

Chapter II
THROUGH GARONA’S EYES
During the First War, Khadgar’s word gained Garona entry to Stormwind, where she warned King Llane of Medivh’s fall to the Legion. Khadgar and Garona then confronted Medivh, and a battle followed. The spirit within Medivh magically aged Khadgar, while Gul’dan witnessed the struggle through Garona’s eyes and sought the location of the Tomb of Sargeras. Khadgar slew Medivh, Gul’dan fell into a coma, and the resulting explosion scorched the land around Karazhan into Deadwind Pass.
