Shalomagne emerged from the magical fusion of two legendary night elven blades, Shaltor and Elmagne. Its history would become entwined with Vyian, Onyxia, and those who followed.

Its creation began when Onixia inadvertently reunited the two Varian as one person. In that same moment, their paired blades became a single weapon, Shalamagne. The newly named sword faced its first target without delay. As Onyxia tried to incinerate him, the merged Vyian reached her head, impaled her with Shamagne, and beheaded her. At the battle for the Broken Shore, Vyian split Charlemagne into two blades to

battle the Burning Legion. [music] Upon his death, the swords remained in the sand, their light snuffed out. When the armies of Legionfall assaulted the Broken Shore, Anduin Ren left Stormwind and traveled to Renfall, the sight of his father's demise.

There, he found Shalamagne and inherited the sword. Shallamagne's path did not end with Anduin's inheritance. During Varak Sorfang's Makora against Silylvanas Windrunner at Ormar's [music] Gates, Anduin lent the sword to Sarfang.
